God Loves You

John Dehlin's Facebook post this morning moved me with both love and grief for people who are unable to experience love for themselves. I'm also aware of how many people cannot believe that GOD loves them. I know I can't cure this for them. But I will offer what I have.

Many years ago, I was sitting in front of an audience of about 300-400 LGBTQ-SSA people when I had a sudden epiphany in which God showed me very powerfully that God LOVES every gay man, every lesbian woman, every bisexual person, every queer and gender queer person, every trans and intersex person, and every person who identifies with same-sex attraction. The message was thunderously intense and left me without questions. And the message was not for me alone. Today it is for YOU.

Regardless of your sexuality and gender experience, the Divine One knows you, prizes you, weeps for you, and LOVES you without qualifiers. If you can't yet believe this for yourself, at least hear it from someone who is convinced. And I apologize if this sounded like testimony meeting.
